Joined hands in UXO Clearance at Hai Xuan Primary and Secondary School

This week, reveiving request of Hai Xuan Commune on supporting UXO clearance to build a fence of Hai Xuan Primary and Secondary school, Quang Tri LWCC coordianated with Peace Tree Vietnam (PTVN) to conduct a field survey and clearance.

U.S. 750-lb. Bomb Found in Rice Paddy Near Cua Viet Beach

Trieu Phong, Quang Tri (26 June 2017) — RENEW-NPA teams today safely destroyed a U.S. 750-pound bomb found in a rice paddy in Ha Tay Village of Trieu An Commune, about one km from Cua Viet port, formerly a logistics and support base for U.S. Marine units along the DMZ.

Quang Tri Red Cross Society and Project RENEW visit and assist landmine victim

On May 9th and 10th, 2017, representatives from standing office of Project RENEW Quang Tri and Quang Tri Provincial Red Cross Society visited, encouraged and gave financial assistance to a landmine victim - Phang, 29-year-old and from Bru-Van Kieu ethnic group. She had been injured by the ERW accident during his gardening.

Golden West signs MoU in Quang Tri to enhance EOD response

A tri-partite Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) was signed in Dong Ha, Quang Tri Province between Golden West Humanitarian Foundation, Quang Tri Provincial Military Command and Quang Tri Department of Foreign Affairs. The MOU begins a three-year training and mentoring program to enhance and professionalize the capacity of the Provincial Military in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Response.
